FoundersNest Ltd. ("we") is the data controller for personal data processed through foundersnest.io. Contact: hello@foundersnest.io.
2. Data we collect
- Account data: name, email, password hash, company details you provide.
- Profile data: stage, industry, location, and preferences used to match funding opportunities.
- Usage data: pages visited, features used, device and browser information.
- Payment data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We do not store card numbers.
3. How we use your data
To provide and improve the Service, personalize funding matches, communicate with you about your account, process payments, and comply with legal obligations. Legal bases under GDPR: contract, legitimate interest, consent (for marketing), and legal obligation.
4. Sharing
We share data with vetted service providers (hosting, analytics, email, payments) under data-processing agreements. We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose data when legally required.
5. International transfers
Data may be processed outside your country. We rely on Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent safeguards for transfers outside the EEA/UK.
6. Retention
We keep account data for as long as your account is active, and for a limited period after closure to comply with legal and accounting obligations.
7. Your rights

8. Security
We use industry-standard measures (encryption in transit, access controls, regular reviews) to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; please use a strong, unique password.
9. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

We will notify you of material changes by email or in-product notice.
